General Information

QR2SKU is a digital labelling service that lets you add QR codes to your physical product labels and link them to detailed product information, documents, and multilingual content that you can update online at any time.

QR2SKU is built for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who want to give customers more product information, sell in multiple languages, or prepare for the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements.

No special IT knowledge is required for basic use. The platform is designed to be easy for anyone to use. The label editor provides a visual preview of the label as you edit it, so you can immediately see the result.

Scan statistics show the number, time, and geographical location of scans for each product.

If you can't find the information you're looking for, email us at support@qr2sku.com.

The QR2SKU editor lets you create and arrange content elements freely, so you can build a label that meets the requirements set out by the EU.
We are continuously developing the system, and we design our industry templates to include every field you need to fill in to support compliance.

If none of our plans is right for you, get in touch with our customer support team.
For key accounts, we can provide additional services, unlimited product uploads, and an unlimited number of active QR codes.

Product Management

After logging in, click Add new product, then enter the basic product information:
  •  product name,
  •  SKU code (optional),
  •  EAN code (optional).

After saving the information, you will be taken to the editor, where you can create and edit the product label.

Important: Changes will not be visible to users until they are saved.

Save the file using UTF-8 encoding. If you are using Excel, select Save As → CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited).

Under My Products, you can add new products, upload multiple products at once, and manage your existing products.

You can always see:
  •  your current subscription plan,
  •  the number of active labels included in your plan,
  •  and how many of them are currently in use.

Your products are displayed as product cards, where you can access and edit them at any time.

Start typing in the search field, and the product list will be filtered automatically.

You can search by:

  •  SKU code,
  •  EAN code,
  •  product name.

Use the drop-down menu next to the search field to select how many products you want to display at a time.

You can download the QR codes generated for your products in two ways.

1. Individual download
Click the QR icon on the product card. A pop-up window will display the QR code, which you can download immediately.

2. Bulk download
Select the required products using the checkboxes in the list, then click Download QR Codes above the product list.

QR codes are downloaded in a ZIP file in both PNG and SVG formats. File names contain the product's SKU, EAN code, or product name.

Manufacturers often have several similar or nearly identical products that differ only in colour, flavour, or other minor details. In these cases, the duplication feature can save you time.

Click the duplicate icon on the product card to create a copy of the product. The copy is created as a separate product label with its own QR code.

You can edit the duplicated product just like any other product, so you only need to change the information that differs.

QR2SKU counts the number of active product labels, not the total number of products you have uploaded.

For example, you can upload 200 products even if your subscription plan includes only 50 active labels. You can switch products between active and inactive status at any time. The number of products that can be active at the same time is limited by your subscription plan.

QR2SKU also supports bulk product uploads. Products can be imported from a CSV file. You can download a sample file using the link provided in the pop-up window when you open the import feature.

Open the file in a spreadsheet application. Each row represents one product, while the column headers define the individual fields.

The first four column headers must not be changed:

  •  Column A: Name – product name (required)
  •  Column B: SKU – product SKU code
  •  Column C: EAN – product EAN code
  •  Column D: Img – URL of the product image

For the remaining columns, the column header becomes the title of the corresponding content element, while the rows contain the content itself. For example, if column E is named Ingredients, enter the ingredients of each product in the corresponding rows (e.g. for bread: flour, yeast, water, salt). It will appear on the product label as:

Ingredients:
flour, yeast, water, salt

If you need to upload hundreds of products and this import method does not meet your needs, please contact our customer support team.

If you want the QR code on your product to direct customers to an external webpage instead of a label created in QR2SKU, you can easily set this up.

When creating the product, select the URL Redirection option and enter the destination URL.

Make sure the Img column contains the full URL of the image. A file name copied from Google Drive or your computer is not sufficient; the image must be publicly accessible online.

This can happen if the wrong delimiter is used when saving the file. When saving the CSV file, make sure you select a semicolon (;) or comma (,) as the delimiter, rather than a tab.

Using the Editor

We have created templates for the main industries and product categories, and we continuously expand them based on user needs. To use a template, click Templates in the editor.

In the window that appears:
  1.  select the industry from the top drop-down menu,
  2.  then select the desired template below.

Once the template has been loaded, its elements can be freely edited, deleted, and rearranged.

Important: Loading a template will delete any content you have already created for that product.

Drag and drop the main product image into the designated area, or click the area and select an image from your computer.

If the selected image meets the requirements, it will be uploaded automatically.

The maximum file size is 5 MB, and the supported formats are PNG and JPG.

After uploading the image, click the edit icon to resize or rotate it.

You can add various types of content to your product label.

Available elements include:
  •  title,
  •  subtitle,
  •  text,
  •  table,
  •  image,
  •  embedded YouTube video.

To add a new element, click the + button and select the desired text type.

You can then change the format of the selected content and use basic text formatting options.

Elements can be deleted and rearranged.
  1.  Hover over an element with your mouse, or tap it on a mobile device. A dashed border and the editing controls will appear.
  2.  Click the trash icon to delete the selected element, or click and hold the move icon to drag it to the desired position.

To add an image, click the + button and select the image icon from the panel.
Then upload the desired image from your computer.

The same file requirements apply as for the main product image.

To add a table, click the + button and select the table icon from the panel.

In the window that appears, enter the number of rows and columns, then click Insert. The table will appear in the editor, where you can fill it with the required information.

This can be useful, for example, for displaying a product's nutritional information.

To add a downloadable file, click the + button and select the file icon. In the window that opens, enter a name for the file, for example:

“Downloadable Assembly Instructions”
 “Quality Certificate”

Then select the file you want to upload from your computer (for example, a PDF) and click Insert.

The name you entered will appear on the product label, and users can click it to download the document.

To add a video, click the + button to open the list of available elements, then select the YouTube icon.

Paste the URL of the video you want to embed. No separate embed code is required; the system will automatically display the video on the label.

This can be useful for assembly instructions or product demonstration videos.

Language Versions & AI Translation

Yes. Based on the user's browser language settings, the system automatically displays the product label in the appropriate language, provided that a version in that language has been created.

If no version is available in the user's language, the default-language version will be displayed.

AI allows you to quickly translate the final content of your product label.

In the editor, click AI Translation. In the window that appears, select the languages you want to create, then click Save. The system will automatically generate the translations.

If you find an error in a translation, select the relevant language in the editor and edit the text manually.

Once the language versions have been created, each version can be managed independently. This means you can even provide completely different content for different language versions.

If your product label is complete and you want to translate it manually, click Add Languages.

In the window that appears, select the desired languages and click Save.

Then select the language you want to translate into from the editor.

Once the language versions have been created, each version can be managed independently, allowing the foreign-language version to contain completely different content.

This can be useful, for example, if different ingredients are permitted in a particular country or different technical specifications apply, such as mains voltage.

Once you have created a product label, you can create additional language versions in the editor by clicking Add Languages or AI Translation.

QR2SKU supports more than 30 languages.

The number of language versions you can create for each product depends on your subscription plan. The number available varies by plan.

Subscriptions & Billing

Billing is handled automatically after you subscribe. Your invoice will be issued to the company name you provided and sent to you by email.

You can pay for your subscription by credit or debit card. If card payment is not suitable for you, please contact our customer support team and we can arrange payment by bank transfer.

You can cancel the renewal of your subscription or upgrade to a higher-tier plan at any time directly from your account, without losing the amount you have already paid.

When upgrading, you only need to pay the difference between the price of your current plan and the higher-tier plan. The system calculates this amount automatically, so there is no need to contact customer support.
