The future of packaging — compliance, data and product experience!
With dynamic QR codes QR2SKU unites product information, marketing and EU regulatory compliance — on a single platform, in 30+ languages, with content you can change at any time.
The European Union is currently carrying out one of its largest regulatory reforms affecting QR codes — in more and more sectors QR codes may replace multilingual physical labelling, while a dynamic QR code already printed on the label never becomes outdated.
One printed QR. Three business results.
Operational product information
One QR code per product (SKU), from the user manual to the ingredient list, in the customer’s own language, accessibly, supplemented with images and videos. The result: cleaner packaging, fewer customer service enquiries and a better user experience.
Compliance
The European Union requires digital, machine-readable product information in more and more areas (Packaging Regulation, greenwashing ban) and for more and more product categories (batteries, clothing items).
Dynamic marketing
A dynamic QR code turns packaging into a flexible marketing channel. The content behind the unchanged QR codes can be modified per campaign, in real time (coupons, loyalty programmes, upsell, reviews). Every single scan is precisely measurable.
Why choose QR2SKU?

Analytics and customer insights
GDPR-compliant and anonymised data collection, recording the time, location, language, device, viewed content and repeat visits.
The EU makes digital product information mandatory
The QR code on packaging is no longer just a marketing tool: from 2026 European legislation requires digital product information to be provided, which fundamentally reshapes the role of physical packaging.
PPWR — Packaging Regulation
The regulation gives QR codes a central role in increasing the transparency of packaging, with the aim that the codes provide instant access to the sustainability data of the packaging.
Directive 2024/825 — greenwashing ban
The aim of the EU directive is to put an end to misleading consumers with claims about the environmental impact of products. QR codes play a decisive role in making the information transparent.
ESPR - Digital Product Passport (DPP)
The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation introduces a QR/NFC/RFID-readable digital certificate that provides authentic data about the origin and sustainability characteristics of the product for every player in the value chain.
GS1 Digital Link — one code for everyone
Thanks to the transition in retail from 1D barcodes to 2D codes (QR codes), a single QR code placed on the product works both as a checkout identifier and as a direct link to the product passport.

Yes, in more and more sectors. Wine (2021/2117) already allows it, batteries (2023/1542) make it mandatory from 2027, and EU-level drafts are being prepared for cosmetics, food, textiles and chemicals. We build the platform so that it follows this process.
All data is anonymised, we do not store personally identifiable information.
No special IT knowledge is needed to use the system. We designed the interface so that anyone can use it easily. In the label editor the digital label appears in real time, so the result of the changes is visible immediately.
QR codes are available in PNG and SVG formats, making them easy to use on both digital platforms and printed materials.
The first QR code can be created in as little as 10 minutes. A catalogue of 1000 SKUs can typically be migrated in 2–4 weeks, including translation and filling in the templates.
